Mallorca is one of those places where once you experience it's magic, you won't want to leave. Bigger than just Palma, the islands capital, exploration is endless through its mountainous regions and seaside serenity. The LMDES team had the opportunity to have a one-of-a-kind trip to Mallorca for our first team retreat and we're already looking forward to heading back in the near future. If you're looking to plan a trip to Mallorca, we've broken it down so you can have the best experience imaginable.

Located in Calvia, Mallorca, OD Port Portals is the perfect place for you to spend during your time in Mallorca. We were hosted by this luxury hotel for the long weekend and was blown away by our time there. Every detail breathes excellence, from the fresh flowers placed in the rooms to the endless views from each balcony.
We stayed in the deluxe suite with a terrace looking over the ocean. With spacious areas and a phenomenal layout, the suites at OD Port Portals have everything you could ever dream of. What To Eat
If you choose to stay at OD Port Portals, finding good cuisine is nothing more than a few floors away. The hotel has phenomenal, health conscious options during their all you can eat breakfast. If you’re opting to grab something for dinner, each Friday night, the restaurant and lounge opens up for their Burger Meets Gin, an after work event where local and guest DJs spin while you enjoy a gourmet meal with mini hamburgers, fresh fries and a premium Gin Tonic while surrounded by some of the most stylish people on the island.
If you’re looking to leave the hotel and venture into Palma, head to Quina Crue for some of the best artisanal food in town. The service is questionable due to many customers but , the food and overall ambiance will have you wanting to come back for more. With an array of options of pinxtos, you’ll be able to enjoy it all and at a reasonable price as well.
Where To Explore
Exploring all of Mallorca is an absolute must and the best way to do that is with a car. Having the liberty to hit the road without the restrictions of a bus or a fixed schedule, you can see all that the island has to offer. When staying at OD Port Portals, with a suite, you have unlimited access to one of their rental cars. Luckily enough (for those who don't drive standard), they are automatic and small enough to easily navigate the mountainous landscape. It’s worth the adventure.
Spend a morning driving through the winding roads to visit the towns of Valledemossa and Deià where you will take in some of the most breath-taking views you’ve ever seen. As you go higher into the mountains, you'll be overlooking nothing but sky and sea. We encourage you to hop out and explore the small streets of the town by foot. Filled with olive, orange and almond trees, the streets feel like you’ve been relocated to one of the scenes in the sound of music. Once on the other side, Soller should be the final stop during your day adventure. Take time to relax on the sandy beaches and take it all in.
Whether you visit for two days or a week, Mallorca is a dream escape. There’s more to the beautiful island than just the city of Palma and you’ll be entranced by all that the island has to offer.
